MURCIA .- The dean of the College of Industrial Engineers of Murcia, José Antonio Galdón, has been elected president of the General Council of Industrial Engineering of Spain in the elections held this Saturday at the headquarters in Madrid, as reported professional association sources said in a statement.
Galdón, 35-year-old becomes the youngest Industrial Engineer in the representative office of President of the Council, and the first elected president of Murcia.
The new Board will consist Galdón José Antonio Ruiz (president), Juan Ignacio Larraz Plo (Vice Chair); Abelino Garcia (secretary), Luis Francisco Pascual Piñeiro (Deputy Secretary), José María Manzanares Torne (treasurer), Gerardo Arroyo Gutiérrez ( Controller) and Aquilino de la Guerra Rubio, Domingo Villero Carro, Juan José Cruz García, Juan José Cantero and Santiago Ribas Crivillé Andreu (vocals).
"The situation of schools is now at peak times," the new president hours after learning his new position, while added that "what we will try from now on is to promote the work they have been doing for over 50 years and say more clearly than ever that we exist and we are here for something."
also noted that "we are convinced that our work in society is essential and we have tried to stream from our performance in Murcia, and it is essential that the group knows what you can get from the union and from work together. "
The General Council of Official Colleges of Industrial Engineers is a corporation of public law which includes 49 colleges to develop their profession in the various sectors of industry, administration, teaching and free exercise. Galdón now represent the 93,000 industrial technical engineering schools throughout the English territory.
The constitution of the General Council has its origins in the Decree of June 22, 1956 by authorizing the establishment of Associations of Industry Experts, which determines by order of October 16, 1957 from Ministry of Industry approved the first General Statutes of the Colleges of Industry Experts.
